The Inspiring Journey of Isha

After years of unwavering dedication and service in the legal domain, Ms. Isha Singh is poised to embark on a new chapter in the realm of civil services. Her remarkable journey included successfully clearing the UPSC examination on her second attempt while practicing law at the High Court of Bombay. It was during this phase of her life that served as the catalyst for the creation of this platform. Today, she stands proudly among 155 probationary officers who were part of the prestigious Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad. This is the story of Isha Singh, a narrative of passion, perseverance, and purpose.

On October 27, 2023 , the Passing Out Parade of the 75 RR Batch of IPS Probationers took place at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad. This event marked a momentous occasion in the lives of 175 Officer Trainees, including 34 women and candidates from police services of Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, and Mauritius.
The Chief Guest at the Passing Out Parade was the Hon’ble Home Minister of India, Shri Amit Shah. The event was graced by esteemed guests, including the Union Home Secretary, Shri Ajay Bhalla, Shri Tapan Deka,Director General of Intelligence Bureau (IB), and the Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Isha's Leadership

The Passing Out Parade commenced with a grand march past of all the platoons. Platoon No. 2 was led by our co-founder, Isha Singh, a lawyer turned police officer. As a third-generation police officer from a family of lawyers and civil servants, it was a prestigious moment for Isha to lead Platoon No. 2, saluting the dignitaries on the dias.

Awards and Recognitions

Isha Singh’s accomplishments shine brightly, as she was awarded the Manipur Law Trophy and the Trophy for Excellence in Forensics. These accolades were presented to her by Union Minister of Home Affairs Shri Amit Shah.

Additionally, she held the position of Secretary for the law journal.

As the third-generation IPS officer, she continues the legacy, carrying forward the baton with utmost dedication.

In a conversation with the press, Isha expressed her unwavering dedication to her career as a police officer. She shared her aspiration to join the police from day one and highlighted her legal career’s landmark cases, including securing compensation for the widows of sewage workers who died cleaning septic tanks. Isha’s transition from law to the Indian Police Service (IPS) was driven by her belief that the law must serve humanitarian purposes.
